On Thursday, May 15, former Cape Henlopen High School standout Reed Thompson’s current collegiate team the Goldey-Beacom Lightning lost 1-4 against the Franklin Pierce Ravens in the NCAA Division II Baseball Championship.

The game took place at Weiland Park Baseball Stadium at 11 a.m. and was the first matchup against the Franklin Pierce Ravens in the tournament.

The Goldey-Beacom Lightning’s next game will take place on Thursday, May 15 at 2:30 p.m. at Weiland Park Baseball Stadium.
