On Friday, March 7, former Laurel Senior High School standout Carlie Venables’ current college team, the Siena Saints, won 7-6 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Central Michigan Chippewas.
The game took place at R.O.C. Park. This was their first matchup against the Chippewas this season.
The Saints’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 1:30 p.m. at R.O.C. Park against Chattanooga Mocs.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
