On Saturday, March 1, former Sussex Technical High School standouts Destiny Mitchell and Kayla Evans’ current college team, the Delaware State Hornets, lost 9-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Tennessee Lady Volunteers.

The game took place at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Lady Volunteers this season.

The Hornets’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 at 12 p.m. at DSU Softball Field against Saint Peter’s Peacocks.
