On Tuesday, April 15, former Indian River High School standout Olivia Hitchens’ current college team, the Wilmington Wildcats, won 11-0 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Bloomfield Bears.
The game took place at Clark’s Pond South. This was their second matchup against the Bears this season.
The Wildcats’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16 at 2:30 p.m. at Asbury Field against Chestnut Hill Griffins.

Mecklenburg County received $3.3 million from a Chicago-based political foundation after leaders agreed to “reduce the use of incarceration” for repeat criminals like DeCarlos Brown, Jr.
During the week beginning Monday, Sept. 8, these former Sussex County area high school athletes will be in action.
