On Monday, Feb. 24, former Sussex Central Senior High School standout Madge Layfield’s current college team, the Central Arkansas Bears, won 6-3 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits.

The game took place at Farris Fields Complex. This was their third matchup against the Jackrabbits this season.

The Bears’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. at Dr. Billy Bundrick Field against Louisiana Tech Lady Bulldogs.
