On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Cape Henlopen High School standout Reed Thompson’s current college team, the Goldey-Beacom Lightning, won 6-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Kutztown Golden Bears.

The game took place at USA Baseball National Training Complex. This was their first matchup against the Golden Bears this season.

The Lightning’s next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1:30 p.m. at USA Baseball National Training Complex against Slippery Rock The Rock.
