Town of Bethany Beach issued the following announcement on Nov. 1.
As the beach opens on 10/30, use caution, and look closely where you or your pets walk on the sand. There are still small oil patties and oil covered debris along the beach that can be easily overlooked. Please DO NOT TOUCH any black blobs and tar balls, mainly found in the high tide lines along the beach.
