The City of Lewes Police Department would like to introduce Ken Huff as our newest Police Officer. Ken, his wife Kate and their 2 children, ages 10 and 7, relocated to Lewes in November of 2021 to continue his career in policing and enjoy the "beach life".
Ken is a native of the State of Arizona and has been a certified police officer in the State of Colorado for the last 12 years. His last assignment was with the City of Arvada where he was a patrol officer and achieved the rank of Sergeant with the Arvada Police Department. Ken has extensive training in the law enforcement field and is a certified firearms instructor, an accident reconstructionist and spent several years as a motorcycle officer.
Since November of 2021, Ken has been training at the Police Department and at various sites throughout the State to obtain his Delaware Council on Police Training Certification. On February 14th, Ken completed his training, passed his Delaware COPT test and was officially sworn in as a Lewes Police Officer by Mayor Ted Becker.
