Town of Delmar issued the following announcement on April 3.

Delmar, MD April 19th & April 20th Delmar, DE April 28th & April 29th Collection time will be between the hours of 7:30 am through 3:00 pm This special clean-up collection is only available for our current weekly garbage service customers. This clean up day was established to allow residents the opportunity to get rid of items above and beyond weekly household garbage such as items stored in the attic, garage or storage shed. In an effort to make this process as orderly as possible we have established a new procedure last year, therefore, please refer to the below map to see when your area will be serviced. April 19th - SOUTH EAST (inc. Bridgewood Est., Heron Pond, Amber Ridge & Stage Road) portion of Delmar, MD April 20th - SOUTH WEST (inc. Breckenridge & Wood Creek) portion of Delmar, MD April 28th - NORTH EAST (inc. Yorkshire) portion of Delmar, DE April 29th - NORTH WEST portion of Delmar, DE Items NOT eligible for collection: Automobiles, Automotive Parts, Heavy Machinery, Oil, Gas Cans, Tires, Riding Lawn Mowers, Freezers, Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Paint, Construction Materials, Sleep Sofas, Large Tree, Stumps, Chemicals, Any item containing Freon Limbs over 3 ft. and not bundled will not be removed. Window frames will need to have the glass removed before it is picked up. Only one couch per household will be removed and one box spring and one mattress per household will be removed. Any other items deemed excessive by Public Works will NOT be removed. Although there are two days scheduled per State, there will only be one pick up per location. You will NOT receive collection on both days.
